An experience for everyone, whether you are a certified diver or have never breathed underwater before, you can take the plunge into the Cairns Aquarium Reef Tank!

Your Dive with the Sharks experience begins at 12:00pm with a medical check, then our experienced dive team will ensure that you are comfortable with the SCUBA equipment and breathing underwater, before it's time to dive into Cairns Aquarium's underwater world!

Family and friends can watch from the dry side of the glass plus you can enjoy all-day admission at the aquarium; a chance to get acquainted with the rest of our animals and eco systems.

I have dived with them and didn't have the chance to dive with the sharks! Why do they sell something they can warranty it happens but it didn't happen? Extremely disappointed. Don't waste your money trying to dive with them. Appalling experience! Furthermore they have a massive aquarium and you can Only dive in a small part of it with no sharks! Very upset after it.

We had an awesome time diving with the sharks and other big fish. Highly recommend this for anyone. The diving instructors Sean and Mex were awesome and made you feel so comfortable and give you all the information you need. The dive tickets also give you admission into the whole aquarium so we walked around the aquarium before the dive which was cool because we got to look at all the creatures we’d be diving with. All in all highly recommend! You won’t regret it!

The instructors, Bec and Sean were very professional and knowledgeable. i enjoyed the facility tour seeing coral growing and isolation tanks, the dive briefing was enjoyable. Be sure to ask for the foot massage from Sean when he fits your flippers :)

I did the dive with the sharks at the aquarium because I wanted to do a dive but was too nervous to do it in the ocean. It was an absolutely incredible experience. Prior to the dive I did a little behind the scenes tour which was cool to see. The staff are so friendly, passionate and know so much. I had Sean as my diving instructor and Bec as dive supervisor. Both were amazing and made me feel completely at ease before and during the dive. Lying down next to this incredible creatures was just so surreal. Must do for anyone.

I cannot stress enough how absolutely brilliant the Aquarium is in every way. Not only do they have a wide variety of aquatic wildlife and education programs open to the public, but the sheer amount of tours this place offers. I’ve been through the aquarium many times and always fell in love with the dedication Andrew, Daniel and the team have to creating a truly magical place, helping the environment and bringing people together in the best way. Today I went diving with the sharks and the beautiful honeycomb stingrays! It was a dream to be laying next to a real shark just centimeters away and watching the huge stingrays glide above us. Thank you to my incredible dive instructor Sean for guiding me! Highly recommend!

Receptionist explained everything the day I booked it and let us into the aquarium to see where we would diving. Got introduced to Sean who would be our dive guide. Arrives early the following day so we could look around the aquarium and listen to all the talks regarding coral reef life and sharks. Saw all the fish being fed. Good to see the sharks eating BEFORE we dived with them ha ha. Sean explained everything in detail and made us feel at ease. Got to see behind the scenes which was amazing. The dive was great fun. Very surreal diving inside a huge fish tank with other customers watching. Got some great footage of my girlfriend lying down next to a shark. Had a brilliant time. After the dive we spent the rest of the day back on the other side of the glass watching all the fish, sharks and rays. Had a really good day. Staff were brilliant. 10/10
